We come to plant seeds and that is all we are to expect but it is sure a blessing that encourages you and makes all the frustrating days worthwhile when you get to see the fruit. First I got to know what happened to the girl in Pax Villa after the earthquake. Then yesterday I went to the valley and got to see the mom and baby that I took to the hospital when she was hemorrhaging after delivering. They are doing great. Also I got to see the trees that we planted with the World Food Program. It is such a blessing.
The best part of yesterday though was that I took 2 boys with me from Merger. The one boy has never been farther than the training center. I don't think he said more than 10 words the whole trip - he was just soaking it all in. The other guy has been a couple of places but never to the valley and he kept saying oh this is the place in our geography book. It was better than bringing Haitians to the US for the first time.
Tomorrow starts the Christmas festivities. In the morning the church is having a clean up day in Merger from 7-11 then at 4 one of the trainers in the GKK program is getting married. I am hoping it starts on time because Miquel and Anya are getting married at 5. Its going to be wild. Then on Christmas day we are having dinner for about 30. Keith, Jan and I and our Haitian families and friends.
