Sorry for no blogging lately. I kind of took a break, yeah really I did :). I spent 10 glorious days with my sister and her family. I knew I missed them but didn't realize how much until I arrived. My nieces and nephew have grown so much, no more little kids they are growing into such wonderful people. My sister and her husband are incredible parents. I was very sad to leave but at the same time very ready to come home because I missed my little Ronald so much, not to mention Merger. Ronald changed in 10 days, its so hard to want to be 2 places at once. I have missed so much of my nieces and nephew growing up but I know I am where God would have me.

The gangs met while I was gone and they are still excited about working with the project. Today I met with one of the young boys who hasn't had a chance to go to school. It made me realize how much I am needed here. We rode around in my truck for a bit and talked and he told me some of his life story and my heart broke. He is so alone and unloved and looking for a chance, any chance to have anyone show even the tiniest bit of concern for him. The tears just welled up and spilled over when he was telling me how things were. Haitians don't cry often so its a very telling thing when they do. The goat project has worked wonders in Merger and Pernier changing the lives of many for the better and God has given me Ronald and many other opportunities to help here in Haiti. But today was one of the most impacting moments of my life - that little ride in my truck and those tears that he tried to keep from falling. I am very thankful for the opportunities God is allowing in my life. Please pray for this young man and the others coming into the literacy part of the goat project.
