Plans change all the time in Haiti. Tropical storm Chantal made her self known after we arrived in the South. Her path changed almost hourly and I made the decision to come home. I said we would leave at noon which turned into 2 something. There are several places you have to cross rivers and even though the sun was shining where we were not the case in the mountains where the rain was pouring down. There was only one crossing where the water was too high and we had to wait for it to go down. On our drive home Chantal dissipated into a tropical wave and moved more west so the drive home was just light rain and a beautiful double rainbow and sunset. This morning is cloudy and breezy so we will stay in and organize the vet pharmacy.
I don't know what God had planned for this trip. The vet training was disorganized and the agents stole a good bit of medication so I wasn't sorry to leave. The women's training turned into beautiful talks about marriage, babies and not being physically abused.
It was good to go to the countryside and good to be with these folks I am the calmest and most relaxed I have been since Keith's death. For that I am most thankful. I know this team has been a balm to my soul, I hope they are being blessed as well.
Lots of things to work on at the house maybe God planned things this way so I would have some help to get it done.
