Well I'm back in Haiti safe and sound. It was a great week. I spent Wednesday and Thursday in Independence, KS speaking at Ed Epp's church and at a vet meeting he hosted. It is always fun to see old friends and meet new ones. Then on Friday we went to Duncan OK for a Crowdis family reunion - almost everyone was there. There are so many new little faces, it's been 3 years since the last reunion.
I was very excited to be in the US, it just felt good to be out of the chaos, well it really wasn't just a different kind - a bit more ordered. I put my computer in the shop so not much writing done (thus no blog posts) and I lost my blackberry on Wednesday. I can't believe it. I ordered a new one and it came before I left but it was defective. I wonder what GOd is trying to tell me?!? Anyway, today was a holiday so no new phone, but tomorrow I hope to be back in business, everybody chipped in so I can buy a new bb - I have a great family.
On the home front the week was fairly quiet - I so missed everyone espeically since I couldn't call them (I had no phone numbers with the phone missing and the computer in the shop). Ronald is fine and so are the rest of the crew. The one sad thing is that Wilna has decided to leave. She left on Sunday. I think I know where she is, or at least the general neighborhood so I will try to find her and make sure she is okay. Her room is empty. It really hurts that she would just up and leave like that but it isn't totally a shock as she wasn't happy with the way things were here (following the rules - like saying where she was going). Please pray for her.
Things were a bit exciting in Merger, the community stood up to the man who poisoned the goats, he did some other things that made everyone mad and they have threatened him. I'm not sure I agree with their methods but I am glad that he is being held accountable for his malicious actions. I don't know all the details but it involved blocking the roads in Merger and the guy is in hiding right now.
Tomorrow is a big day, I have a meeting with the Brazillian UN, they are interested in the goat project. I don't know their plans but I'm excited to find out.
