We are in Pignon doing clinics. I have a 4th year vet student and a vet from Chicago with me(he was here visiting another missionary friend and came along). I love to come to the countryside - the people are so down to earth but they have so many superstitions and beliefs that aren't true about their animals. We got to have a discussion with a witch doctor and hear how he came to be one. He said the spirits came to him in the garden while he was working(actual people but with yellow skin) and told him if he didn't serve them they would put his eyes out. And before the day was over he was blind and couldn't get home from the garden. He was blind for 10 months before he decided to serve them and wasn't blind anymore....
